Course Specifications
Course number: 085170Software: Adobe ColdFusion 8
Course length: 1.0 day(s)
Course Description
You have created dynamic, non-database-driven websites using Adobe ColdFusion 8. Most professionally-built and complex websites are powered by a database. In the Adobe ColdFusion 8: Level 2 course, you will build dynamic, database-driven websites.
Course Objective: You will retrieve information from a database and display it on a web page, enable drill-down functionality through which users can view detailed information on demand, display subsets of data through a recordset navigation system, enable database-driven searching capabilities, and add features that lets you build reports and add charts to your website.Target Student: The target students for this course are those who have added dynamic features to their website using ColdFusion 8.0 and who want to connect their website to a database. They are those who will be developing their own solutions rather than using off-the-shelf components, those who might be familiar with another programming language, or those who have used UltraDev to develop their ColdFusion solutions. It is likely that their primary job responsibility is creating web pages.
Prerequisites: Students taking this course should first complete the Adobe ColdFusion 8: Level 1 course or have equivalent knowledge. Students will be especially well prepared if they also take the SQL: Fundamentals of Querying and Relational Database Design courses or have equivalent knowledge before attending this course.
Delivery Method: Instructor-led, group-paced, classroom-delivery learning model with structured hands-on activities.
Performance-Based Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:- build a web page that retrieves information from a database.

- create reports, charts, and forms.
